Create a basketball and make it as a symbol
Make it a symbol by clicking on frame 1, go to Modify/Convert to Symbol
Extend the basketball from frame 1 to frame 30 by inserting a keyframe
Move the ball from the left to the right and create a motion tween
Add a layer guide
Draw a bouncing guide
Snap the ball to the left side of the motion guide on frame 1
Snap the ball to the right side of the motion guide on frame 30

Bouncing Basketball

Your job is to make a Flash animated project that shoots a ball off the backboard and goes in the basket.
You need to have 3 layers:
  1. The basketball layer
  2. The basketball guide layer (which will not show up in the published movie)
  3. The basket layer
If you are absent, here is a bouncing ball tutorial

To add sound, go to the sound website, download a file to your computer, Go to File/Import to Library and select your sound file.
Put in a keyframe where you want your sound to start and another where you want it to end.
Click on the frame where you want it to begin and pull the sound from the library into the stage.
Click "Edit" in the Properties box on the bottom to make any changes to the sound.

Here's an idea of what it should look like:
